Barn Wedding

I had the opportunity to direct my first wedding last weekend. It was at Acorn Lane Farms in Lucedale, MS. What a beautiful place! The wedding and reception were unlike any other Barn Wedding I have seen. This one had a vintage twist. Absolutely gorgeous! The brides mother and aunt did such an amazing  job pulling together and creating such a beautiful look. So much DIY! I dont know how they did it all!! There was a giant Jenga game, Cornhole and Horseshoes at the reception. The guests really enjoyed.  Since it was the coldest day of the year so far we also enjoyes the fire pits and free standing heaters along with our hot Wassel!  I dont have pics of all the details but here are some. Hope you enjoy!

The Popcorn Bar I decorated. Loved it!

Why Not?

She serves champagne with pizza and eats takeout by CraftandCandor Sooo me!!!

Kelsey's Bonfire

My daughter wanted to throw a bonfire for a few friends on Saturday night. We pulled it together quick but I think they all had fun. We had about 11 kids show up and even though it was freezing cold some of them ended up in the pool! The things they will do for 10 bucks! We ordered form $5.00 pizzas had chips and dip and of course my favorite thing ever, SMORES! I did get a comment from one of the girls that her mom would have just put the box or graham crackers and the bag of marshmallows out on the table but me, being the way that I am, had to go just a step further. I love to make things pretty even if no one notices or even if they don't appreciate it right now because they are teenagers! I hope one day my kids will go the extra step for their kids when that time comes. Sometimes it only takes small things to make a night memorable.

 Smores!
Shout out to my hubby for building an awesome bonfire!
 Grub minus the pizza.

I think her head buried in her hands speak of how cold it was! Yikes!

Spur of the Moment Trips are the Best!

We took a mini trip to Perdido Beach Resort about 3 weeks ago in Orange Beach, AL. Just a spur of the moment trip. We had dinner at The Gulf which had a really cool laid back atmosphere. I had the grouper sandwich and let me tell you it was awesome! We visited alligator alley in Summerdale, AL on the way home. I think its definitely worth the $10 entry fee. What a neat place! This trip sparked our return for our anniversary this past Tuesday. I can't wait to go back! I really wish I had a vacation home at the beach. I would be there every weekend! Hope you enjoy the pics!

Mini Anniversary Trip to Orange Beach, AL

Our 8th anniversary was on November 4th so we decided to go back to where it all began! We were married in Orange Beach 8 years ago. It was such a beautiful day much like our wedding day! Perfect! We had a great little trip! If you are ever in the Orange Beach.Gulf Shores area I highly recommend the crab cakes at Nolan's on Highway 59 in Gulf Shores. Also don't forget to stop by A Specialty Bakery on 16th street for a cupcake or something else sweet from their case. Such sweet ladies! They made our wedding cake 8 years ago and it was so good! We took a trip over to our wedding site and then drove down to the end of Fort Morgan road to pick up shells along the shore. It was so beautiful and peaceful. The beach is my favorite place to go. It just washes away your stress and refreshes your soul. On the way home we stopped by LuLu's for lunch. I couldn't of asked for a better anniversary. It was just perfect.
